Conference for Second Marriages
If one or both of you are entering into a second marriage, your are urged, but not required to participate in a special program offered by the Family Life Office. It may be attended in place of the other group conferences.
There are special and unique issues facing those who are entering into a second marriage such as unresolved guilt, anger, pre-determined expectations, blended families, visiting rights, and the special pressures of committing to a new relationship. These can be discussed with someone who is trained in this regard and whom might offer some helpful suggestions. You may also wish to consult with a counselor from the Family Life Office to address any specific issues relating to your particular situation.
